If you want to maximise the profitability and long term success of your website then it needs to be found by your target customers. The key to getting found lies in targeting the right keywords.

Keywords are your golden nuggets if you can identify them wisely and utilise them properly. This is where we come in.

Hit your target with our market research.
What is a keyword?

A ‘keyword’ is a word or phrase that Internet users type into search engines when looking for something online, whether it’s products, services, or information.

A successful online business is aware of the keywords used to find its web pages, and has woven its content, navigation and link building around those terms.

Why we’re different

1. We use Market Research Driven Keyword Analysis

The goal of keyword analysis is to target the right keywords. Target the right keywords and you create a path right to your website, get it wrong and you make it difficult for customers to find your website. Simply put customers can’t buy what they can’t find.

To target the right keywords we use Market Research Driven Keyword Research; a methodology which recognises that people search in different ways using a variety of keywords to describe the same type of product or service. Planning for this is step one to capturing your market whole rather than just part of it. Step two is utilising those keywords for your website blueprint.

2. We don’t just analyse keywords but also their synonyms and polysems

If you use highly targeted keywords, some of those keywords may not be terms that people actually use when searching for your product. Users with different backgrounds, knowledge, or linguistic habits will search for the same information using different words or synonyms.

Synonyms are different words with identical or at least similar meanings. For example the keywords hire, employment, recruitment, career, position are all synonyms of the keyword job.  If you only optimise your content for the keyword job you are missing out on targeted traffic that use synonyms for that word.  The task is knowing what synonyms customers use, prioritising, and utilising. We can help with that.

Polysems are words which have more than one distinct meaning. When used in different contexts or by different people, for example, the term “Beehive” could mean a place where bees work making honey or, in a New Zealand context, the New Zealand Parliament building. Do a search on Google.co.nz and see what we mean. What appears in the first three search engine results? Surprised? If you were selling beehive’s online you would have a tough job positioning your website in the first three results. Over 60 percent of searchers click within the first 3 results, imagine how that would affect your business.

By analysing, testing and selecting the right keywords for your business, our research will help to bring more targeted traffic to your site.

3. We analyse the competition

If you are trying to rank for a highly competitive keyword, you may find yourself outstripped by websites with highly targeted backlinks. Keyword analysis checks the level of competition for particular keywords, thereby helping to pinpoint the most effective keywords for your particular business.

4. We improve keyword relevancy

In order for search engines to return your pages in search results, those pages have to be deemed relevant to the searchers original query. Our research will help ensure that your web pages are rich with relevant targeted keywords.

The importance of effective keyword research can never be overstated. Well researched keywords will raise the profitability of your website and play a major role in expanding product reach and building your brand online. With so much at stake its important that you get it right first time.
